About this job
This is a local, home-daily CDL-A driving job in Aurora, CO on a dedicated water account, running dry van and intermodal container freight. The truck stays within a 20-mile radius of the yard, and the freight is entirely no-touch.
Pay
Expect a weekly gross average between $2,050 and $2,060, built from a combination of per-mile pay and per-stop pay.
Home time
You're back home after every shift. Shifts run 10-12 hours, totaling 50-60 hours a week, with either a midnight to 4am or a 2pm to 4pm start - you need to be flexible for both. Weekend work is required, but dispatch over holidays is optional.
What you'll haul
You'll run a dedicated water account hauling dry van freight, plus intermodal container moves where containers get mounted onto bare chassis at the rail ramp. You'll drive a clean daycab under a slip-seat setup, with occasional 30-60 minute waits at the ramp while containers are mounted onto DOT-legal chassis.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL and a current DOT medical card
- Live within 25 miles of the dispatch yard
- At least 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL driving experience
- This position is not open to trainees, team drivers, or owner-operators
- Hazmat endorsement is a plus but not mandatory
- A solid driving record and clean work history, plus a required drug screen
