About this job
Our company, an Amazon Freight Partner, is hiring a CDL-A driver for local, no-touch drop-and-hook routes out of Woodbridge, NJ. You'll be home every day after your shift, with weekend availability required.
Pay
- $26–$28 per hour, based on experience
Home time
- Home daily, return after every shift
- 3 shifts per week, about 13.5 hours each
- Start times vary: 12:00 AM, 1:00 AM, 2:00 AM, 4:00 AM, 5:00 AM, or 10 AM
- Weekend availability required
What you'll haul
- Local drop-and-hook deliveries, no-touch freight
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- At least 6 months of tractor-trailer driving experience
- At least 21 years old
- Clean motor vehicle record
- Eligible to work in the US
- Must pass background check, drug test, and road test
- Able to communicate in English
Responsibilities
- Operate a tractor-trailer safely on local routes
- Complete drop-and-hook deliveries
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
- Use ELDs and apps to track load information
