Local CDL-A Driver — $22–$30/hr

Our company in Chandler, AZ is looking for a full-time CDL-A driver to haul materials and equipment to and from job sites on local routes. This is a solo company-driver role operating commercial trucks on the road.

Pay

• $22.00 to $30.00 per hour

What you'll do

• Haul materials and equipment safely to and from various job sites

• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip equipment checks and flag any mechanical issues or damage right away

• Follow dispatch directions, assigned routes and job-site instructions

• Keep accurate paperwork and electronic records, including time logs, haul sheets and delivery documents

• Load, unload and dump materials using proper, safe procedures for your equipment

• Keep the cab, bed and trailer reasonably clean, including cleaning out truck beds as needed

• Report any accidents, injuries, citations or damage immediately

• Attend company safety meetings and training sessions

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A

• Current medical certification and any endorsements required for the equipment you'll drive

• Ability to climb in and out of the cab repeatedly through the day using steps and handholds with 3 points of contact

• Ability to sit and drive for long stretches, with breaks depending on traffic, job-site activity and safe parking

• Full use of hands, arms, legs and feet to operate the vehicle's controls and pedals

• Comfort working outdoors in heat, cold, wind, dust, rain and other weather, on pavement, gravel, dirt, mud and uneven ground

• Ability to bend, crouch, reach, twist, push and pull to inspect, operate and maintain the equipment

• Willingness to work day or night shifts as scheduled

Work environment

You'll spend your shifts around trucks, construction sites, mines, material pits, customer locations and company facilities, with exposure to moving equipment, traffic, uneven terrain, dust and debris, noise, vibration and outdoor weather.
