About this job
Our company is hiring local CDL-A drivers in Knoxville, TN to run a tractor-trailer on a set route and hand-deliver food and supplies to customers. You are the friendly face of the company, getting to know each customer's operation and what they need.
Pay
- Up to $120,000 a year, with productivity incentives on top.
Home time and schedule
- Most drivers have daily routes and are home nightly.
- Be ready for overtime, weekends and holidays when the business needs it.
What you'll haul
- Mixed food-service freight: meats, produce, frozen items, groceries, dry goods and supplies.
- This is touch freight. Expect to move product averaging 40-60 pounds, sometimes up to 100 pounds, again and again.
Requirements
- Age 21 or older.
- Valid Class A CDL and a driving record that meets our company's insurability standards.
- Pass employment testing.
- Enough spoken and written English to talk with the public, follow road signs and complete reports.
- Nice to have: 1 year of customer delivery, 6 months with hand carts or hand trucks, 6 months in food and beverage, and 2 years of steady work history.
