Local CDL-A Delivery Driver — $32–$34/hr

Würth Baer Supply Company, a wholesale distributor to the woodworking industry, is hiring a permanent, direct-hire CDL-A driver for its Guilderland Center, NY branch. You'll run local delivery routes in a 26-foot curtain side truck with a manual transmission.

Pay

• $32.00 to $34.00/HR based on experience

• Time and a half after 40 hours, though the week typically runs close to a standard 40 hours

• $2000 performance bonus: $1000 after 90 days and $1000 after 180 days, for drivers in good standing (attendance, safety, attitude, work quality)

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 6:00am to 3:00pm ET or until the day's route is finished

What you'll haul

• Materials like drawer slides, hinges, cabinet handles, hand and power tools, sandpaper, paint and stain, plywood, cabinetry, synthetic countertop material and laminate goods (this branch mostly handles plywood and sheet goods)

• 5 to 10 customer stops per day, hand-delivering items from 40 to 100 lbs

• Loading done with a sit-down propane forklift and by hand

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A and current DOT medical card

• Clean driving record

• Able to drive a manual (10-speed) transmission, although most routes use an automatic truck

• Willing to wear a company uniform and protective (composite or steel toe) footwear
