About this job
Our company is hiring a CDL-A driver in Dallas, TX to support food distribution deliveries on a local route. This is a temp-to-hire role driving automatic transmission trucks, with touch freight involved.
Pay
- $30.00 per hour, with overtime after 40 hours worked
What you'll haul
- Food products, delivered to assigned customer locations
- Touch freight: you'll load and unload deliveries yourself
- Trucks are automatic transmission
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Clean motor vehicle record
- At least 1 year of recent, verifiable CDL driving experience
- Able to safely handle and unload food products
- Meets DOT and FMCSA requirements
Responsibilities
- Operate automatic transmission commercial trucks safely
- Deliver food products to customer locations
- Load and unload freight as needed
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Keep accurate delivery paperwork
- Communicate with dispatch and customers
- Follow company safety procedures and DOT rules
