Local CDL-A Delivery Driver — $28–$30/hr Plus Strong Benefits

Our company, a wholesale building materials distributor based in West Caldwell, NJ, is looking for a CDL-A driver for local field routes. You'll haul and deliver specialty building materials like laminates, plywood and solid surfaces to customers across Northern New Jersey and New York, handling both the driving and the physical work of loading and unloading.

Pay

• $28.00 to $30.00 per hour, plus the benefits listed below

What you'll haul

• Specialty building materials including laminates, plywood and solid surfaces

• Deliveries made across Northern New Jersey and New York

What the job involves

• Loading and securing materials onto the truck so they transport safely

• Driving commercial vehicles to customer sites and assisting with unloading

• Running pre-trip and post-trip inspections, logging vehicle condition and hours worked

• Following DOT rules and all cargo safety and traffic laws

• Planning your own routes with GPS tools and adjusting for traffic in real time

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Valid CDL with a clean driving record and MVR; must pass a DOT physical and drug screen

• Comfortable maneuvering large commercial vehicles in tight spaces

• 2+ years of commercial driving experience preferred

• Familiarity with GPS navigation and route planning

• Good communication and customer service skills; able to work independently or as part of a team

• Able to stay calm and focused under pressure

• Able to lift up to 70 lbs and stay physically active across a full shift, including in different weather conditions
