About this job
Our company, part of Performance Food Group, is hiring a local CDL-A driver in Little Rock, AR to deliver food and food-related products to customers on set routes, Monday through Friday, with weekends off.
Pay
- Weekly pay starts at $1,350 minimum (based on meeting weekly requirements discussed in interview)
- Drivers can earn $70,000 or more per year
Schedule
- Monday to Friday with a 3:00am–6:00am dispatch time
- Weekends off
What you'll haul
- Tractor-trailer or straight truck routes, including local, OTR, shuttle, overnight, and drive-and-drop runs
- Food and food-related products delivered and unloaded at customer locations
What you'll do
- Complete pre- and post-trip inspections per DOT rules
- Check and secure loaded freight, verify counts against invoices
- Drive assigned delivery routes and unload goods at customer sites
- Handle customer returns and damaged goods, and get delivery signatures
- Collect payment when required
- Keep accurate hours-of-service logs and delivery paperwork
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 12 months of tractor-trailer driving experience
- Valid CDL-A and minimum age of 21
- Clean driving record for the past 3 years
- Pass a post-offer drug screen and road test
- Hold or be able to obtain a DOT health card
- Able to lift and move freight by hand, generally 10-35 lbs and up to 60-90 lbs depending on location
