About this job
Eassons Transport Ltd., part of the family-owned our company (running since 1945), needs LCV-certified drivers based in Ontario or Nova Scotia. You will run round trips between Toronto and Halifax, depending on your home terminal, hauling temperature-controlled TL/LTL freight.
Pay
- You are paid by the mile, plus extra pay for accessorial items, and it arrives weekly
- Daily pay is guaranteed
- Overtime applies after 60 hours
Schedule and equipment
- Expect 40 to 50 hours a week
- Trucks are late-model, and auto-shift units are available
- A support team is available 24/7
- At select locations you can use a company car while off duty
What you'll do
- Move temperature-controlled TL/LTL loads between the Toronto and Halifax areas
- Handle the pickups and drops you are assigned
Requirements
- LCV certification is mandatory, and this role is open to certified drivers only
- At least 5 years of verifiable AZ / Class 1 driving experience
- Clean police record check, clean driver's abstract (CVOR in Ontario) and a clean drug test
- A good attitude; experience with automatic onboard recorders is a plus
