About this job
Our company Canada is hiring a day-shift delivery driver in Dartmouth, NS to run an assigned route delivering office supplies to our company customers. Our company supplies the truck and all equipment you need.
Pay
- $20.90 to $22.40 per hour
- Day shift
What you'll do
- Collect your paperwork and inspect the vehicle before each run, reporting any maintenance issues to your supervisor
- Deliver orders and take back returns as customers require, getting signatures and finishing all paperwork
- Handle customer feedback and flag unresolved issues to your supervisor
- Work safely and keep the vehicle clean
Requirements
- Age 21 or older
- At least 1 year of experience driving a straight truck of 16 ft or longer
- Valid driver's license and a clean 5-year driving record with no major moving violations under provincial law
- Able to lift up to 70 lbs without help; hand truck or dolly experience is a plus
- Good knowledge of the metro area, able to read a map and use mobile proof-of-delivery devices
- Solid customer service, communication, problem-solving and time-management skills
- Comfortable working on your own at a fast pace, in all weather and road conditions
