About this job
Start your trucking career out of Santa Fe with one-on-one OTR mentorship, a weekly pay guarantee once you go solo, and earnings that climb as you gain time on the account.
Training and Entry Pay
- New CDL-A grads with at least 120 hours from an accredited school can apply.
- While training one-on-one with a mentor for 3 to 5 weeks, you'll earn $850 per week.
- Your first paycheck includes an extra $300 for orientation.
- Once you finish training, you move straight to full solo mileage pay.
- For your first 90 days running solo, you're guaranteed at least $1,000 per week.
Pay Over Time
- As you build tenure on the account, average weekly pay runs $1,200 to $1,800.
- There's an ongoing bonus program, plus $15 for each stop you make.
Routes and Freight
- You'll run 27 states, covering everything east of Denver and staying clear of Northeast traffic.
- Expect 1,800 to 2,200 miles weekly.
- Freight is a mix of drop-and-hook, preloaded trailers, and live loading/unloading.
Schedule and Home Time
- You'll be home every two weeks, though other schedules can be discussed.
- Dispatches run both day and night, with weekend work expected; holiday schedules are negotiable.
Equipment
- You'll drive a 2023 or newer Freightliner Cascadia or Kenworth T680, all automatic transmissions.
- Trucks are assigned to you individually, so there's no slip-seating.
- Once training wraps up, you're welcome to bring a family member or pet along.
Requirements
- Valid Class-A CDL and current DOT medical card, minimum age 21.
- Open to trainees, solo drivers with 6+ months experience, teams, and owner-operators.
- Must pass a clean MVR and background check, along with hair and urine drug screening.
Benefits (start day 31)
- Medical, dental, vision, and pharmacy coverage.
- 401(k) with company match.
- Company-paid life insurance and long-term disability coverage.
- Paid time off that accrues, plus employee stock options.
