Entry Level CDL-A Delivery Driver Trainee — Average $83,000/yr

Our company in Springfield, MO is looking for new CDL-A holders to join its entry-level driver trainee program, delivering food products to local businesses while learning the ropes alongside an experienced trainer.

Pay

• Drivers average $83,000 a year

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays and layovers

• Shifts average around 12 hours, with 4 or 5 day work weeks available

• Based out of 1620 N Packer Road, Springfield, MO

What you'll haul

• Food and food-related products for restaurants, schools, healthcare facilities and other customers

• Routes may be local, over-the-road, shuttle or overnight, using a tractor trailer or straight truck

What you'll do

• Complete the company's entry-level driver training program

• Ride along with and assist a trainer while learning delivery routes

• Inspect your tractor and trailer before and after each trip

• Load, unload and verify freight, and collect payment when needed

• Keep accurate paperwork and hours-of-service logs

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A

• 0-6 months of commercial driving experience

• At least 21 years old

• High school diploma or GED

• Clean driving record for the last 3 years

• Able to pass a drug test and road test

• Current DOT health card

• Comfortable lifting and moving cases weighing roughly 60 to 90 pounds
