DZ Residential Waste Driver — $25/hr

Miller Waste Systems is hiring a DZ Driver/Picker for residential collection routes out of North Bay, Ontario. You'll run a rear loader truck on a Monday-to-Friday schedule starting at 6:30am, with occasional weekend or holiday work as needed.

Pay

• $25.00 per hour

What you'll haul

• Residential garbage, recycling and yard waste

• Routes involve over 800 stops per day, dropping loads at local transfer stations, compost facilities or landfills

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 2-person rear loader truck

• Lift and empty bins and bags weighing up to 50 lbs into the hopper

• Return emptied receptacles to the curb, upside down, in their original spot

• Treat residents, coworkers and the public with courtesy

• Follow MTO, Ministry of Environment and municipal rules at all times

Requirements

• Valid DZ licence

• Clean driving abstract with no preventable accidents in the last year

• About a year of experience on similar equipment is a plus

• Comfortable working independently with minimal oversight

• Willing to work a flexible schedule, including some weekends and statutory holidays

• Strong communication skills
