DZ Delivery Driver — $24–$27/hr

Our company is hiring a DZ/Class 3 driver in Oshawa, ON to deliver and pick up construction equipment on flatbed trucks at customer jobsites. This is a local, year-round role paying $24–$27 an hour.

Pay

• $24–$27 an hour, with overtime available

What you'll haul

• A wide range of construction equipment including aerial lifts, earth-moving machinery and compaction equipment, transported on flat-bed trucks

Responsibilities

• Load, unload and secure equipment following safe work procedures

• Complete daily pre- and post-trip inspections, logs and timesheets, and check fluid levels

• Obtain customer signatures on contracts and pickup paperwork

• Keep dispatch and your supervisor updated on schedule or delivery issues

• Tag and route any damaged equipment for repair

• Give customers basic guidance on operating equipment safely

• Keep your truck clean and presentable

Requirements

• Valid Class 3/DZ licence with a clean or satisfactory driver's abstract (no more than three demerit points); you may be asked to provide an updated abstract

• Experience loading, securing and hauling heavy construction equipment on flatbeds

• Comfortable driving a manual transmission in city traffic and in all weather, year-round

• Able to lift around 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

• Open to working overtime and being on an on-call rotation when needed
