About this job
Our company needs a dependable local delivery driver to get materials to job sites safely and on schedule. The role is based in Dartmouth, NS and pays $23–$25 an hour.
What you'll do
- Handle tailgate deliveries of a range of items to various addresses
- Plan and follow delivery routes and schedules
- Load, unload and inspect your vehicle before and after runs
- Carry out basic preventative maintenance and flag any mechanical or safety concerns
- Keep accurate logs of driving time, rest periods and distance traveled
- Follow all applicable trucking regulations and company procedures
Requirements
- Valid DZ license with air brakes endorsement
- At least 2 years of commercial driving experience, or 1 year plus a completed CFTR course
- Clean driving record with no recent violations
- Solid grasp of trucking rules and regulations
- Able to lift and carry heavy loads
- Strong time management and organizational ability
