DZ/Class 3 Local Straight Truck Driver — $27.59/hr

Erb Group, a long-running family-owned refrigerated carrier based in New Hamburg, Ontario, needs a local straight truck driver out of its Vaudreuil-Dorion, QC area operations to handle deliveries and pickups of temperature-controlled freight.

Pay

• $27.59/hr

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, starting around 7:30am

• This is a 24/7 operation, so actual departure times shift based on hours-of-service rules

• No fixed end time; your day runs within HOS limits

• Expect anywhere from 1 to 20 stops per day, combining deliveries and pickups

• Trucks are shared (slip-seated), not assigned to one driver

What you'll haul

• Temperature-controlled, perishable freight moving across Canada and the U.S.

What the job involves

• Driving safely through all weather and road conditions

• Hitting delivery and pickup schedules per company policy

• Keeping dispatch updated on your stops and any issues

• Running pre- and post-trip equipment checks and flagging maintenance needs to the shop

• Handling required paperwork and staying compliant with hours-of-service and Ministry of Transportation rules

• Loading and unloading freight safely

• Using the onboard electronic logging and communication system

• Attending driver safety meetings

Requirements

• Valid DZ/Class 3 license

• At least 1 year of verifiable driving experience on a DZ/Class 3 license

• Must pass a pre-employment drug test and health survey

• CVOR, driver abstract and license copy required at interview

• Employment reference check and criminal record check required

• Able to bend, lift and carry freight up to 80 lbs

• PPE required (supplied by Erb Group)
