About this job
Our company is launching a new catering operation in Vancouver and is looking for a driver to join the startup team. You'll move temperature-controlled meals and catering supplies between the kitchen and aircraft on airport property.
What you'll do
- Haul chilled food and related equipment from the catering facility to planes using company vehicles
- Check your truck before shifts, keep it clean and fueled, and flag any mechanical problems
- Load and unload galley carts and supplies by hand, up to 50 lbs
- Follow airport and public road safety rules at all times
- Confirm deliveries are accurate and secure, and handle any paperwork or items exchanged with outside contacts
- Represent the company professionally with airline crews and customers
- Pitch in on other tasks when things are quiet
Requirements
- Class 5 license or Class 3 CDL at minimum
- Ability to lift as much as 50 lbs
- Legally able to work and live in BC, Canada
- Valid RAIC, or eligibility to obtain one
- A background driving airport catering trucks or working airside is a plus but not required
