Mover/Driver — $26–$29/hr

Our company is hiring a driver/mover to operate vans and 2 to 7-ton non-airbrake trucks for household and commercial moves around the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island. You'll be part of a moving crew, handling everything from packing to delivery.

Pay

• $26.00-$29.00 per hour, based on your moving industry experience

• Paid every two weeks

• Overtime for any job exceeding 8 hours, including trips to Vancouver Island, Whistler and the Okanagan

• 4% vacation pay on hours worked

• Tips are common and can add up

What you'll do

• Operate vans and 2, 3, 5 and 7-ton trucks, navigating tight spaces and watching for height and clearance limits

• Inventory and tag household goods, then wrap and pack furniture and fragile items for transport

• Fill out invoices, pre-trip and post-trip paperwork, and answer customer questions

• Use dollies, piano skids, pallet jacks and power tailgates to move items safely

• Lift and carry loads of 60 to 70+ pounds, sometimes up stairs and in all weather

Requirements

• Valid Class 5 BC driver's license with a clean abstract and background check

• At least 2 years of commercial driving experience and 2 years of moving experience

• Comfortable driving vans and non-airbrake trucks up to 7 tons

• Strong work ethic, professionalism and good communication with customers and crew

• Secondary school education preferred

• Available Monday through Saturday, typically starting around 8 am until the job is done
