About this job
Our company, a road maintenance company based in Terrace, BC, needs a full-time Class 1 Driver in Fort Nelson, BC to move materials and equipment to and from work sites.
Pay
- $40.00 per hour, with at least 40 hours expected weekly
What you'll haul
- Gravel trucks with pups, end dumps, belly dumps and lowbeds
- Materials and equipment for job sites, including loading, securing and unloading
Responsibilities
- Run pre-trip and post-trip checks and keep accurate daily logs
- Handle basic upkeep like greasing and checking fluids
- Flag any mechanical problems, damage or safety concerns right away
- Follow site rules, traffic laws and company safety guidelines
- Fill out timesheets and other paperwork as needed
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 licence with air brake endorsement
- Clean driving record
- Experience driving in winter road conditions
- Comfortable working outdoors in any weather
- Team-oriented and safety-conscious
