Courier Driver — $23.28/hour, Dorval QC

Our company needs a courier driver in Dorval, QC to handle pickups and deliveries on an assigned route, checking shipments and helping customers along the way. Shifts are flexible, with a minimum of 4 shifts required each month.

What you'll do

• Pick up and deliver packages safely and on time along your route

• Inspect shipments for proper labelling and compliance with FedEx service standards

• Keep accurate records of stops, missorts and paperwork

• Load and plan your van route for efficient pickups and deliveries

• Use computerized tracking and dispatch systems

• Answer customer questions about FedEx services, including Canada, US and international shipping rules

• Spot potential new business and pass sales leads to the sales team

• Help with aircraft or container loading, unloading, sorting and scanning when needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

• One year of customer-facing work experience preferred

• Familiarity with our company operations and Canadian customs rules is a plus

• Able to lift 70 lbs and move packages up to 150 lbs with equipment

• Must pass the required pre-placement driver assessment

• Strong communication, time management and customer service skills

• Comfortable multitasking under pressure

• Bilingual in English and French

• A valid licence (such as class 5, G or 1/AZ) with no more than two violations or accidents in the past 24 months; candidates are also assessed on driving history, interview performance and driving test results
