Courier Driver — $23.28/hour, Dorval QC

Our company is looking for a courier driver in Dorval, QC to handle pickup and delivery of packages on an assigned route. You'll represent the company to customers while keeping shipments moving accurately and on schedule. Flexible shifts are available, with a minimum of 4 shifts required per month.

What you'll do

• Pick up and deliver packages safely and professionally on your route

• Inspect and sort assigned packages, and report stop counts and missorts

• Load your van and plan your route for efficient stops

• Keep FedEx and customer property, equipment and vehicles secure

• Make sure packages meet our company's service standards, with correct labels and paperwork, and keep customers stocked with shipping supplies

• Use computerized tracking and dispatch systems, entering accurate data

• Answer customer questions about our company's services, including Canada, US and international shipping requirements

• Flag sales leads and market changes to the sales team

• Depending on location and workload, you may also help load or unload aircraft or containers and scan packages

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

• One year of customer-facing work experience preferred

• Familiarity with our company operations and Canadian customs rules is a plus

• Able to lift 70 lbs and move packages up to 150 lbs using proper equipment

• Must pass the required pre-employment driving assessment

• Strong communication, time management and customer service skills

• Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment

• Bilingual in English and French

Drivers must hold a valid license (for example, class 5, G or 1/AZ) and have no more than two violations or accidents in the past 24 months. Candidates are also assessed on their driving record, interview performance and driving test results.
