About this job
Our company is looking for a courier to drive a company vehicle making pickups and deliveries in Ronkonkoma, NY. You'll handle packages, check shipments against our company service standards, and provide customer service along your route.
Pay
- $24.21 - $35.96 per hour
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 2pm - 9pm
What you'll do
- Drive and operate a company vehicle to pick up and deliver packages
- Inspect shipments to make sure they meet our company service standards
- Interact with customers in a courteous, professional manner
- Handle other assigned tasks as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid license for the type of vehicle you'll drive
- At least 21 years old
- Able to lift 50 lbs and move heavier packages with equipment or help from another person
- Strong communication and people skills, with a neat, professional appearance for customer contact
- Must meet DOT qualifications under FMCSA Section 391, including passing a required medical exam
- This is a safety-sensitive role requiring constant alertness and safe work habits
- Sufficient English skills to read traffic signs, talk with traffic safety officials, and respond to official directions per FMCSA guidelines
