About this job
Our company is looking for a Class 1 driver to move freight on assigned routes and keep deliveries running on schedule. You'll handle the truck, the freight, and basic upkeep checks along the way.
Pay
- $24.00 to $30.00 per hour
What you'll do
- Drive a Class 1 truck to deliver freight to its destination
- Load, unload and secure cargo, using a forklift or similar equipment when needed
- Check the vehicle before trips and flag any maintenance issues, handling minor repairs yourself when appropriate
- Keep accurate records and update others on delivery progress so customers and coworkers can plan around you
Requirements
- Solid hands-on driving ability and safe cargo handling habits
- Careful attention to detail and clear communication about vehicle issues
- Forklift experience, heavy equipment skills, or automotive repair knowledge are a plus
