About this job
Our company runs yard management and shunting operations for warehouses, manufacturers and cross-dock sites across North America, handling over 400,000 shipment moves a month. They're looking for a Class 1 shunt driver to work the afternoon shift full time.
What you'll do
- Move trailers between loading areas and dock doors
- Perform pre-trip and routine vehicle inspections
- Haul loads safely and on schedule
- Keep your truck clean and follow company policies and safety rules
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 license
- At least 1 year of trucking experience; shunting experience is a plus
- Strong backing and parking skills
- Clean driving abstract and clean criminal record
- Commitment to safe work practices
