Class 1 Owner Operator — Average $59.00/hr Incl. Fuel Program

Speedy Transport Group, a Canadian carrier founded in 1941, is looking for an incorporated Class 1 owner operator to run local freight out of Vaudreuil-Dorion, QC. You will haul customer freight safely and on schedule, handling your own paperwork and equipment checks along the way.

Pay

• Average earnings of $59.00 per hour, including the fuel program, with pay starting from $59.00 per hour

• Expected 50.0 to 60.0 hours per week

• Weekly pay by direct deposit

• Fuel price capped at 42.5 cents/litre regardless of market changes, with a company fuel card and on-site fueling at major locations

• Annual profit-sharing program

• Purchase orders available to cover equipment repairs

• Insurance cost of $60.00 per week

What you'll haul

You'll drive a tractor-trailer to move customer goods, planning your routes, handling the required paperwork, and occasionally transporting dangerous or hazardous goods when needed.

Day-to-day duties

• Complete pre-trip, en-route and post-trip checks on your truck, tires, lights, brakes and any refrigeration equipment

• Secure your load properly and follow all safety rules, including those for dangerous goods

• Track load details, hours of service, mileage and fuel use

• Keep bills of lading and electronic logs up to date

• Stay in touch with dispatch, customers and other drivers using onboard communication tools

• Take on other tasks as assigned by management

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 license with the necessary endorsements

• Must operate as an incorporated business

• At least 2 years of verifiable Class 1 driving experience

• Clean CVOR and driver's abstract, with no major violations

• Professional, positive attitude

• White truck with a deer bumper preferred, though not mandatory

• Driver's abstract, CVOR and criminal record check must all be dated within the last 30 days
