About this job
Our company in Whitehorse, YT needs a Class 1 driver for local pickups and deliveries at their Burns Rd. facility. This is a full-time, permanent role with set weekday hours, and some physical and warehouse work is involved.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
- 40 hours per week
What you'll do
- Handle daily pickups and drop-offs to and from the Whitehorse facility
- Operate and maintain your commercial vehicle in line with DOT safety rules
- Do some physical work, including using a manual pallet jack and lifting freight up to 50 lbs
- Pitch in on warehouse tasks as needed
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 licence
- At least 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Comfortable driving a tractor with a manual transmission
- Familiar with Whitehorse and the surrounding area
- Forklift experience or certification is a plus
- Professional manner with customers and coworkers
- Able to reliably get to work in Whitehorse, YT or willing to relocate beforehand
