Our company in Laval, QC is looking for a dependable Class 1 driver to haul freight on routes into the USA. You will handle the truck, the paperwork, and basic upkeep while keeping deliveries on schedule and on the right side of the rules.
Pay
- From $2,100.00 per week
What you'll do
- Drive a Class 1 commercial truck on designated cross-border routes to the USA
- Check your vehicle and handle basic upkeep to keep it running well
- Follow traffic laws, safety rules and company procedures on the road
- Keep accurate records of pickups, deliveries and vehicle logs
- Help load and unload freight, coordinating with warehouse staff
- Handle heavy equipment and small mechanical fixes when needed
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 license with a clean driving record
- Prior experience hauling freight or driving commercially is preferred
- Comfortable operating heavy machinery safely
- Solid grasp of safety and traffic rules
- Capable of working independently
- Some automotive repair know-how is a plus
