Class 1 (AZ) Truck Driver — $29.92–$39.01/hr

Our company, based in St. John's, moves freight around Newfoundland and beyond, and is hiring a Class 1 (AZ) driver for regional and long-haul runs out of St. John's.

Pay

• $29.92 to $39.01 per hour

What you'll haul

• Freight on regional and long-haul lanes starting from St. John's

• Experience with reefer, flatbed or dry van trailers is a plus

Responsibilities

• Drive tractor-trailers safely on regional and overnight long-haul routes

• Carry out pre-trip and post-trip checks and flag any maintenance concerns

• Strap down and protect cargo in transit

• Keep electronic logs and delivery paperwork up to date

• Adjust routing around weather, traffic or schedule changes

• Treat customers professionally at every stop

• Follow provincial and federal trucking rules

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 (AZ) licence with a clean abstract

• At least 2 years of professional driving experience

• Air brake endorsement and a clean criminal record check

• Solid grasp of hours-of-service rules and a safety-first attitude

• Able to lift and secure freight

• Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working solo

• Familiarity with NL highways and long-haul routes helps
