CDL Truck Driver — $26.11–$31.44/hr

This role puts you behind the wheel of commercial trucks hauling freight on local and long-distance routes out of Fair Lawn, NJ. Depending on the assignment, you could be running a tractor-trailer, refrigerated trailer, flatbed, tanker, or car-hauling rig, and pay works out to $26.11–$31.44 an hour for roughly 21–38 hours a week.

What you'll do

• Drive assigned routes, including over-the-road runs, using GPS for navigation

• Load, unload, and secure freight, handling cargo manually when needed

• Check your truck and load before and during trips, flagging any damage, delays, or safety issues

• Keep accurate trip and delivery paperwork and keep dispatch updated on route status

• Follow all FMCSA and DOT rules, including hazmat/dangerous goods rules where they apply

Requirements

• A valid commercial license matching the vehicle and freight you're assigned

• Solid, safe driving habits and comfort operating trucks with manual transmissions

• Ability to physically handle loading and unloading freight

• A plus if you've driven OTR routes, tractor-trailers, reefers, flatbeds, tankers, or car haulers before

• Hazmat experience or endorsement is helpful for certain assignments

Pay

Hourly pay ranges from $26.11 to $31.44, based on roughly 21 to 38 hours of work per week.
