About this job
Our company in Elizabeth, NJ is looking for an experienced truck driver to haul goods and materials between locations, with a focus on safe, on-time deliveries.
What you'll do
- Pick up and transport materials and goods between locations
- Plan safe, efficient travel routes and keep to delivery schedules
- Carry out regular vehicle safety checks and preventative upkeep
- Keep accurate logs of driving hours, rest breaks and fuel costs
- Follow all company rules and applicable driving regulations
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL)
- Truck driving experience preferred
- Trucking school graduation certificate preferred
- Comfortable using GPS, CB radios and Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) systems
- Solid knowledge of truck driving laws and regulations
- Clean driving record
- Able and willing to travel regularly over long distances
