About this job
Our company is looking for a CDL-A truck driver in Cinnaminson, NJ to run tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles and triples, on a home-daily night shift schedule.
Pay
- Expected pay runs $33.45 to $41.38 per hour, increasing on an annual step progression
- Actual rate depends on your experience and skill set
- This role is classified as exempt under the Motor Carrier Act
Schedule
- You'll be home every day
- Works out to a night shift
- Shifts can run 12-14 hours and may fall on days, nights or weekends, so you need an open schedule
What you'll do
- Drive a tractor-trailer, including doubles and triples configurations, safely
- Load and unload freight
- Interact with customers and help generate sales leads
- Operate for up to 11 consecutive hours in any weather while hauling hazardous and non-hazardous materials
- Climb in and out of the cab or trailer, sit for long stretches, and also run a forklift when needed
- Stand and walk on surfaces that may be uneven, slick or outdoors in rough weather
- Lift items that are frequently up to 50 lbs and sometimes over 75 lbs, and maneuver a converter dolly that pulls about 128 lbs on average
- Bend, twist, squat, kneel, reach overhead and push or pull as the job requires
Requirements
- At least 21 years old
- Valid Class A CDL
- Clean driving history
- Willing to get hazmat, tank vehicle and doubles/triples endorsements within 90 days if you don't already have them (having them already is a plus)
- Able to pass a DOT drug screen, with no failed tests or refusals in the past 3 years
- Valid DOT medical card, or able to pass a company-paid DOT physical
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Must read and speak English well enough to talk with the public, understand road signs and signals, answer official questions, and fill out reports
