CDL-A Truck Driver — $21.06–$28.56/hr

STG Logistics is hiring a CDL Truck Driver for its Distribution division in North Bergen, NJ. You'll handle pickups and deliveries of goods for business customers, including LTL freight, using Class A and/or Class C commercial vehicles.

What you'll do

• Pick up and deliver freight to businesses and piers, including LTL moves as assigned

• Drive Class A and/or Class C vehicles based on your license and assigned duties

• Confirm and follow delivery instructions for accuracy

• Keep up with required paperwork like proof of delivery, fuel receipts and trip logs

• Hit on-time pickup and delivery targets set by the company and customers

• Follow FMCSA rules under 49 CFR Parts 350-399

• Log your Hours of Service accurately using an ELD

• Comply with DOT drug and alcohol testing policies

• Complete pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections every day

• Report defects, accidents or safety issues right away

• Load and unload cargo, or assist passengers, as needed

• Be available for overtime

Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A license with the right endorsements

• Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

• Hazmat certification is a plus but not required

• Comfortable adjusting to traffic, weather and other unexpected conditions

• Liftgate experience

• At least 12 months of verifiable driving experience within the last 3-5 years

• Familiarity with ELD and TMS electronic systems

• Able to drive long hours within HOS limits

• Solid understanding of DOT/FMCSA rules

• Clean driving record: no more than 3 violations and 1 preventable accident over the past 3 years

Pay and benefits

• Pay ranges from $21.06 to $28.56, with actual pay depending on your experience, skills and location

• Eligible for bonuses

Work conditions

Expect occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles or chemicals, generally in a low-to-moderate noise environment. Driving may be local, regional or long-distance depending on your route, and you'll be out in different weather conditions. The job involves physical tasks like lifting and loading.
