Our company is looking for a CDL-A driver to run freight affiliated with FedEx Ground, with routes that can go to dedicated regular locations or across the country. You'll handle newer automatic trucks and keep deliveries on schedule while following safety rules.
Pay
- $0.80 - $0.85 per mile
What you'll haul
- Freight tied to FedEx Ground, delivered on time across assigned routes
- Trucks are newer, automatic-transmission commercial vehicles
- Runs can be to set, steady locations or to other states
What the job involves
- Running pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks to stay compliant with FMCSA and DOT rules
- Planning efficient routes with GPS to hit delivery windows and save fuel
- Keeping accurate logs of hours driven, load details and delivery paperwork
- Staying in touch with dispatch on route changes, delivery progress and any problems on the road
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A with a clean driving history
- At least 1 year of commercial driving experience
- Double-triple endorsement
- Comfortable navigating with GPS
- Strong safety habits and customer service skills
