About this job
Our company recycles and distributes industrial wood and steel utility poles for electric utilities and industrial partners nationwide. They're hiring a CDL-A Support Driver to back up logistics and field operations, including storm response work that can mean being away for up to two weeks at a stretch.
Pay
- $1,400.00 - $2,400.00 per week
What you'll do
- Drive company vehicles to support deliveries, field operations, and project logistics
- Haul materials, equipment, and supplies to job sites
- Keep delivery logs, mileage records, and compliance paperwork up to date
- Stay in contact with dispatch and your team on routing, delays, and job updates
- Pitch in during emergencies and high-volume periods, including storm deployments
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Help load, lift, and move materials up to the company's weight limits
- Follow safety rules and regulations at the federal, state, and company level
Home time
- Normal schedule gives you home time every other weekend
- Expect schedule changes and overnight travel during storm response or major project periods
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean, verifiable driving record
- Must live in the Mid-West area
- Able to drive for long stretches, including in tough conditions
- Reliable, safety-minded, and a strong communicator
