About this job
Our company is looking for experienced solo OTR company drivers to run their updated fleet on nationwide dry van and reefer freight. You can live anywhere in the country, and freight is all no-touch.
Pay
Most solo drivers choose percentage pay: 30% of line haul plus bonuses, averaging $1,900-$2,400 a week depending on the season (rare low weeks near $1,500, rare peak weeks over $2,700). You can switch to mileage pay anytime, earning up to 60 cents per mile on automatics or up to 65 cents per mile on manuals, running roughly 2,500-3,600 miles a week. Full-time drivers running percentage pay earned at least $104,000 in 2025, with average solid performers around $115,000, strong runners near $125,000, and the top 5% reaching about $145,000. There's no forced dispatch, so you have control over your workload.
Team pay
If you have a team partner, mileage pay runs up to 75 cents per mile combined, based on experience and driving record, with weekly team mileage typically between 5,500 and 7,000. Combined gross usually lands between $4,100 and $5,200 a week, or about $2,000-$2,600 per driver. The company notes the team freight market is soft right now, and that solos on percentage pay tend to do better.
Home time
Home time is flexible and can be arranged to fit your life, though this is genuine long-haul OTR work, not a job designed around weekends home. You can park your assigned truck at home during your time off.
What you'll haul
You'll run dry van or reefer trailers, all no-touch freight, with unlimited miles under ELD rules (though the company encourages reduced miles for percentage-pay drivers, which it says is safer and more profitable for everyone).
