About this job
Our company, an LTL carrier with 178-plus service centers across North America, is looking for a Road Driver in Farmingdale, NY to run regional and non-regional routes with no-touch freight and daily home time.
Pay
- Starting rate of $33.90/hr
- Range of $0.7071-$0.8057 per mile noted for the role
- Non-contributory pension plan and 401(k)
Home time
- You'll be home every day

- Palletized and heavy LTL shipments

- Routes cover both regional and non-regional lanes
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL issued in your state of residence
- Hazmat, tanker and doubles endorsements
- Minimum age 21
- Meets all DOT and company standards
- Able to perform the job's physical demands safely, without undue risk to yourself or others
- Reads, writes and speaks English
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Good organizational and time-management abilities
- Strong customer-service skills and clear communication
- A full 10-year work history is required on your application per FMCSA rules

What you'll do
You'll drive a commercial vehicle on assigned routes, making sure freight is loaded, secured and delivered on time. You'll complete pre- and post-trip inspections, log your hours and cargo status, follow all safety and DOT rules, and stay in touch with dispatch about schedules or delays.
