CDL-A Regional Truck Driver — Up to $110,000/Year, Home Weekly

Our company's private fleet is hiring a CDL-A truck driver for its Johnstown, NY facility to run regional routes with predictable scheduling and no-touch freight.

Pay

• Regional drivers can earn up to $110,000 in their first year.

• You're paid a fixed rate per mile, plus extra activity pay for things like hooking, loading/unloading, layovers, weekend miles and more.

• Regional mileage rate: $0.5965 - $0.6415 per mile, with average annual miles ranging from 62,813 to 195,706 (actual pay depends on location and miles driven).

• Some activities (such as breakdowns, weather delays or wait time) pay activity pay only, without the mileage rate.

• You may also get Average Day's Pay of $240 per day for things like PTO, safety days, holidays, bereavement or jury duty.

• Quarterly safety bonuses and annual raises are part of the package.

Home time

• You're home weekly, with consecutive days off each week.

What you'll haul

• Freight is no-touch, so you won't be loading or unloading by hand.

What the job involves

• Plan your route and schedule, coordinate with your team, and keep freight moving safely and on time.

• Complete logs and paperwork accurately and follow DOT, state and company rules.

• Inspect your tractor-trailer before, during and after trips.

• Drive efficient routes while following traffic laws and local restrictions to support on-time delivery.

Requirements

• Class A CDL valid for interstate driving, with a Hazmat endorsement (or willingness to get one, with a cleared background check, within 120 days of hire).

• At least 30 months of full-time Class A tractor-trailer experience within the last 3 years, or completion of the our company Fleet Development Academy Program.

• No more than 2 moving violations in a personal or commercial vehicle over the past 3 years.

• No serious traffic violations in a personal or commercial vehicle over the past 3 years.

• No preventable collisions in a personal or commercial vehicle over the past 3 years.

• No preventable DOT-recordable accidents (with disabling damage or injuries requiring treatment away from the scene) in a commercial vehicle over the past 10 years.

• No preventable accident involving a fatality or catastrophic injury on your driving record, personal or commercial.

• You must currently live within 250 miles of the Johnstown, NY facility, or be willing to relocate within that distance within 90 days of hire.

• our company determines whether an accident was preventable using ATA guidelines.
