CDL-A Owner-Operator — 88% of Gross, OTR/Regional/Local

Our company is looking for owner-operators in Lincoln Park, NJ to run OTR, regional, or local lanes. You must own your own truck and trailer to apply; this is not a company-driver role.

Pay

• OTR and regional: keep 88% of gross, with typical weekly gross of $8,000-$10,000 for OTR and $6,800-$8,000 for regional

• Local (home daily): keep 85% of gross, with typical weekly gross of $5,500-$6,800

• Rate confirmations go straight to you with no edits or hidden margins, and are emailed weekly along with your settlement statement

• Weekly settlements, direct deposit, and 100% fuel advance

• Extra pay available for detention, layovers, and lumper fees

Equipment and dispatch

• You're not locked into forced dispatch, and you get a dedicated load planner plus personalized dispatch support

• Verizon ELD provided

• Trucks must be model year 2014 or newer; trailers 2016 or newer

• IFTA, IRP, and 2290 filings are at your own cost, though the company can prepare and file them for a fee

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL

• Proof of non-trucking liability (bob-tail) insurance

• 24 months of commercial driving experience in the last 36 months, or 60 months total experience

• Must pass a negative drug test before driving under the company's authority

• No CMV DUI convictions, and no non-CMV DUI convictions in the past 5 years

• No license suspensions in the past 2 years (exceptions considered for recent medical certification issues)

• No serious at-fault accidents with major damage or injury in the past 2 years

• Must own your own truck and trailer meeting the age requirements above

What you'll do

You'll haul freight safely to its destination, complete pre- and post-trip inspections, keep logs and paperwork current, track mileage and fuel through your ELD, and stay in contact with dispatch and customers about schedules or issues. Cargo must be handled and secured properly, and you're expected to follow company and FMCSA safety rules.
