About this job
Our company is looking for CDL-A OTR drivers in Dallas, TX. You can run as a company driver or move into a lease-to-own truck, pulling flatbed, stepdeck, conestoga, reefer or dry van. Freight keeps moving year-round, including winter, so downtime waiting on loads isn't an issue.
Equipment
Most trucks are 2023-2026 Freightliner Cascadias, serviced through Paladium's own shop.
Pay - Company Driver
- Flatbed, stepdeck and conestoga: 32% of gross. Trucks gross $12,000-$16,000 a week, which works out to $3,840-$5,120 a week for you
- Reefer and dry van: 30% of gross. Trucks gross $10,000-$15,000 a week, which works out to $3,000-$4,500 for you
- Teams: 32% of gross
- Cents-per-mile option available starting at $0.80/mile
- Up to $500 bonus for passing DOT inspections clean
Pay - Lease to Own
- Lease a 2024-27 truck and you keep 88% of the gross
- Trucks gross $10,000-$16,000 a week, so your share is $8,800-$14,080 before fuel, the truck payment and other costs
- Run any trailer type: flatbed, stepdeck, conestoga, reefer or dry van
- Owner-operators running their own truck also keep 88% of gross
The Role
- Expect 3,000-4,200 miles weekly
- Trips run 3-4 weeks before coming home
- Drivers based in or near Illinois get home every 2 weeks
- Support available 24/7
- Paid weekly as a 1099 contractor
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- At least 2 years of verifiable OTR experience
- Minimum 6 months running the trailer type you'd be assigned
- Clean driving history; minor violations accepted, and not-at-fault accidents are fine if a police report was filed
