CDL-A OTR Truck Driver — Choose Your Pay Rate & Home Time

Our company is looking for experienced CDL-A OTR drivers to run direct customer freight, with no broker loads. You pick the pay and home time schedule that works best for you, and most loads are drop and hook.

Pay

• Annual gross pay ranges from $55,000 to $85,000

• Per diem pay is included

• Three schedule and pay options to choose from:

• $0.55 CPM with 48 hours home on weekends

• $0.60 CPM with home time during the week

• $0.65 CPM running 12 days on, then 48 hours off on a weekday

Home time

You're not locked into one setup. Pick weekends off, a weekday break, or longer runs for more pay, depending on what fits your life.

What you'll haul

• Freight comes straight from customers, never through brokers

• Mostly drop and hook loads

• No runs into NYC

Equipment

• Fleet of 2023 and newer Peterbilt 579 trucks

• Riders can join you on the road starting day one

Orientation

Orientation runs 2.5 days at the Roaring Spring, PA terminal and pays $500. Our company covers your travel and lodging, puts you up in your own private hotel room, and provides meals during the session. Drivers with real experience at Smith lead the classes, and you'll meet your recruiter, driver manager, and company leadership while you're there.

Terminals

Our company has terminals in Roaring Spring, PA; Carlisle, PA; Chester, VA; Eden, NC; Albany, GA; Cartersville, GA; Atlanta, GA; Columbus, OH; and Mount Juliet, TN. Each one offers secure parking, free laundry, clean showers, break rooms, a wash bay, fuel, and maintenance support.

Requirements

• At least 21 years old

• Valid Class A CDL

• At least 6 months of recent OTR experience in a CDL-A truck

• A safe place to park your truck and trailer at home, or access to terminal parking

• If you've had a DOT drug or alcohol violation in the past, you must finish the Substance Abuse Professional program before you can apply
