About this job
Our company in Paulsboro, NJ is looking for an experienced CDL-A driver to run over-the-road routes hauling refrigerated, dry van and Amazon freight. You'll cover long-distance lanes while keeping your logs, inspections and deliveries compliant with DOT and FMCSA rules.
Pay
- $2,500.00 - $5,000.00 per week
What you'll haul
- Refrigerated trailers, dry van and Amazon freight
- Experience with flatbeds, tankers or auto transport is a plus
What you'll do
- Drive tractor-trailers on OTR routes while following FMCSA and DOT rules
- Use GPS tools to plan routes and keep deliveries on schedule
- Load, secure and unload freight safely
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any mechanical problems
- Keep accurate driving logs, delivery paperwork and inspection records
- Stay in contact with dispatch about routes, delays and delivery progress
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A with a clean driving record
- At least 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Comfortable handling freight by hand during loading and unloading
- Working knowledge of FMCSA, DOT and hazmat safety rules
- Able to drive independently on long routes with professionalism and reliability
- Manual transmission experience is a plus
- Must pass a drug test
- English required
- Willing to travel about 75% of the time
