CDL-A OTR Truck Driver — $2,500–$3,500/Week

Our company in South River, NJ is looking for a CDL truck driver to haul freight over the road using a mix of equipment types. You'll handle different trailer setups and help keep loads moving safely and on schedule.

Pay

• $2,500.00 - $3,500.00 per week

What you'll haul

• Tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers and refrigerated trailers

• Automobile parts, freight and other cargo, including hazardous materials and dangerous goods

What you'll do

• Drive assigned over-the-road routes, adjusting for traffic and road conditions with GPS guidance

• Load and unload freight by hand when needed, securing hazmat loads properly

• Check cargo against shipping paperwork and keep documentation accurate, especially for hazardous or sensitive materials

• Follow FMCSA and DOT rules on every run

• Do pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical or safety problems right away

Requirements

• Valid CDL with endorsements matching the equipment you'll run (Hazmat endorsement preferred)

• Solid background in commercial driving, including route and delivery work

• Comfortable with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers and auto-hauling equipment

• Working knowledge of FMCSA and DOT rules and hazmat/dangerous goods regulations

• Able to drive manual transmission trucks and manage manual loading/unloading

• Strong GPS navigation skills for staying on schedule

• Clean driving record with a strong safety and compliance history
