CDL-A OTR Truck Driver — $1,400–$2,000/Week

Drive long-haul routes for a company hauling a mix of freight, from refrigerated loads to flatbeds and tankers. You will handle over-the-road trips, load securement and the paperwork that goes with FMCSA and DOT compliance.

What you'll haul

• Tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds and tankers

• Hazardous materials and dangerous goods under DOT rules

• Vehicles and other specialized loads, with proper securement and paperwork

What the job involves

• Long-distance driving while following safety rules for every trailer type

• Loading and unloading freight by hand as needed

• Using GPS to plan efficient routes and hit delivery windows

• Pre-trip and post-trip checks on your truck, trailer and load

• Logging your hours, deliveries and inspections per FMCSA rules

• Staying in touch with dispatch on route changes and delivery status

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A with a clean driving record

• Experience driving commercial trucks on routes and deliveries

• Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers or vehicle hauling is a plus

• Working knowledge of FMCSA, DOT and hazmat rules, plus safe loading practices

• Manual transmission experience is a plus, not mandatory; training available

• Comfort with GPS and route-planning tools is helpful
