CDL-A OTR Reefer Driver — $0.43–$0.58/mi, Home Monthly

Swift Transportation's Phoenix terminal is looking for Refrigerated OTR drivers based out of Tucson, AZ. You'll run coast-to-coast lanes hauling temperature-controlled freight with a range of load options.

Pay

• Trip pay is based on dispatched miles, ranging from $0.43 to $0.58 cpm depending on route and your verifiable experience

• Top 25% of OTR Reefer drivers at the Phoenix terminal average $1200 a week

• Paychecks come weekly

• Starting July 13, 2026, eligible OTR company drivers get a guaranteed minimum of $1,000 per week for their first 90 days of solo driving, under the Guaranteed Pay Plus+ program (ask a recruiter for full terms)

• Vacation pay starts at $800 after one year on the job

Home time

• You'll be home on a monthly basis

What you'll haul

• Temperature-controlled (reefer) freight on OTR routes

• Expect occasional holiday work

Requirements

• At least 21 years old with a valid Class A CDL

• No DUI in the past 10 years for CDL-A holders, or past 5 years for non-CDL-A holders

• No more than one on-road or DOT-preventable loss in the last 2 years, no more than 3 preventable accidents in that span, and no major preventable accident in the last 5 years

• No serious traffic violations in the past year, and no more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years

• Must pass a DOT physical and drug screen, with no drug-related conviction in the past 5 years and no illegal drug use or positive/refused tests in the past 10 years for CDL-A/CLP holders

• Strong backing skills needed
