CDL-A OTR Hotshot Driver — $18–$23/hr

Drive long-haul hotshot routes for our company out of Tyler, TX, hauling flatbed, tanker, refrigerated and auto-transport loads across the country. You'll be expected to travel essentially full-time while keeping shipments moving safely and on schedule.

Pay

• $18.00 to $23.00 per hour

• Expected 40 to 70 hours per week

What you'll haul

• Tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers and refrigerated trailers

• Automobile transport equipment and general freight, including hazardous materials

What you'll do

• Plan and run OTR routes with GPS navigation to keep deliveries on time

• Load, secure and unload freight by hand, following hazmat and cargo-handling rules

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip checks covering tires, brakes, lights, fluids and load security

• Keep dispatch updated on delivery progress, route changes, or any problems on the road

• Handle shipment paperwork for each load

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A with a clean driving record

• Manual transmission experience preferred

• Prior experience in truck driving, delivery, or OTR freight transport

• Working knowledge of FMCSA and DOT rules, including hazardous materials handling

• Comfortable with GPS-based route planning across varied routes

• Flatbed experience of 1 year preferred; 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred

• Experience with reefers, flatbeds, tankers or auto transport is a plus

• Must be willing and able to travel essentially full-time (around 100%)
