CDL-A OTR Dry Van Driver — Est. $110,000–$130,000/yr

This is a full-time, over-the-road dry van position hauling freight in company trucks. The carrier has been running for over 9 years and backs drivers with dispatch, maintenance and safety teams.

Pay

• Estimated yearly earnings of approximately $110,000–$130,000, depending on miles, freight, pay setup and time worked; earnings aren't guaranteed.

• Pay starts from $2,200.00 per week.

• Choice of mileage-based or percentage-based pay.

• Paid weekly by direct deposit, reported on a 1099.

What you'll haul

• OTR dry van freight with live loading and unloading.

• Trucks are newer models pulling company dry van trailers.

• Local drivers based in Plainfield, IL and Long Island, NY sometimes handle deliveries, letting OTR drivers drop a loaded trailer, hook to another, and head straight back out — this depends on dispatch and load availability.

What you'll do

• Drive a Class A tractor-trailer safely on OTR runs.

• Plan routes around appointment windows, hours of service and safe parking spots.

• Keep dispatch updated on delays, loading/unloading problems or equipment issues.

• Do pre- and post-trip inspections and report any damage or defects right away.

• Keep electronic logs and paperwork accurate and up to date.

• Keep your truck clean and well cared for.

• Follow DOT/FMCSA rules and company safety policies.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL.

• Current DOT medical card.

• Must pass required driver qualification, screening and insurance standards.

• Comfortable backing, coupling and operating tractor-trailers safely.

• Willing to be away from home for OTR trips as scheduled.

• Professional, dependable and communicative.
