CDL-A OTR Dry Van Driver (1099) — $0.58–$0.60/Mile, Home Weekends

Our company needs CDL-A drivers for long-haul dry van loads, no-touch freight. You'll start each run from the company's Long Island, NY yard and get back home most weekends. This is a 1099 independent contractor role, so no taxes come out of your paycheck.

Pay

• $0.58–$0.60 per mile, paid on every dispatched mile, deadhead included (so if you run empty from Long Island to your first pickup in Monroe, NJ, that distance pays full rate too)

• Plan on 3,600–3,800 paid miles weekly

• That works out to $2,088–$2,280 gross per week before any extra pay

• No sign-on bonus; the company puts that money into your regular pay instead

Extra pay

• $15 per hour in detention pay once you're held past 4 hours at a shipper or receiver

• $150 for every full 24 hours you're stuck waiting without a load

• $50 stop pay on your second stop

Most weekends off.

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A license

• 12+ months of verifiable OTR tractor-trailer experience within the last 2 years

• Current DOT medical card

• Clean driving record, no DUI or reckless driving, no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years

• Able to pass a DOT drug test

• Comfortable with an automatic transmission

• Able to reach the Long Island or Queens, NY yard to get your truck

• Open to working as a 1099 contractor and running 3,600–3,800 paid miles a week
