CDL-A OTR Driver — Paid Training, $1,000/wk Guarantee First 90 Days

Our company is bringing on new and experienced CDL-A drivers out of Carlsbad for OTR runs, with structured mentorship for trainees and a pay scale that climbs as you gain time on the account.

Pay

• Trainees earn $850 per week during 3 to 5 weeks of one-on-one OTR mentoring.

• A $300 orientation payment lands in your first paycheck.

• Once training wraps up, you move straight onto full solo mileage pay.

• Your first 90 days running solo come with a $1,000 weekly minimum guarantee.

• As you build tenure on the account, average weekly pay runs $1,200 to $1,800.

• There's an ongoing bonus program on top of that, plus $15 per stop.

What you'll haul

• Routes cover 27 states east of Denver, staying clear of Northeast traffic.

• Expect 1,800 to 2,200 miles weekly.

• Freight is a mix of drop-and-hook, preloaded trailers, and live load/unload.

Schedule and home time

• You'll be home every two weeks, with some flexibility to work out other arrangements.

• Both day and night dispatches are used, weekend work should be expected, and holiday schedules can be discussed.

Equipment

• Trucks are 2023 or newer Freightliner Cascadia or Kenworth T680, all automatic.

• You get your own assigned truck — no slip-seating.

• Once you're done training, you can bring a rider or pet along.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL, DOT medical card, and minimum age 21.

• Recent CDL-A grads need at least 120 hours from an accredited school; the company also considers drivers with 6+ months of solo experience, teams, and owner-operators.

• You'll need a clean driving and background record, and pass hair and urine drug screens.
