About this job
Our company is looking for a CDL-A driver to run a dedicated OTR lane between Randolph, NJ and Fort Worth, TX. The freight is mostly drop and hook, and pay is issued weekly.
Pay
- $1,800-$2,000+ per round trip
- Extra pay for any additional pickup or delivery stops
- Paid weekly, one week behind
- This is a 1099 position
Route and freight
- Dedicated round trip: Randolph, NJ to Fort Worth, TX and back
- Mostly drop and hook loads
- Steady, repeat NJ-TX runs
- Home base is Randolph, NJ 07869
What the job involves
- Operating a Class A truck safely over the road
- Hitting pickup and delivery windows
- Doing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks
- Keeping BOLs and delivery paperwork accurate
- Updating dispatch on ETA, delays and load status
- Following DOT, FMCSA and company safety rules
- Staying in regular contact with dispatch and customers
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- At least 1 year of CDL-A driving experience (2 years preferred)
- Clean driving record
- OTR experience preferred
- Willing and able to run the New Jersey to Texas route regularly
- Dependable with consistent dispatch communication
- Meets DOT qualification standards
