About this job
Our company's marine division needs Class A CDL drivers to move new boats from manufacturers to dealers across the US and Canada. You'll run late-model trucks and be paid by the mile, with extra pay for stops and border crossings.
Pay
- Starting rate of $0.67 per mile, paid weekly
- Around 2,000 miles in an average week
- $30 for each stop
- $100 per border crossing if you hold a passport or enhanced license
- $1,000 orientation pay once you take your first dispatch
- $2,000 hiring bonus
- $3,000 bonus for referring a driver
Home time
- You'll be out 14 to 21 days at a stretch, depending on your location
What you'll haul
- New pontoon boats, recreational boats and fishing boats, delivered straight from the manufacturer to the dealership
Equipment
- Trucks are 3 years old or newer, with a fleet average of 16 months
- Volvo 860 and Freightliner Cascadia models with refrigerator, leather interior, double curtain wrap, double bunks and built-in inverter
Requirements
- Age 22 or older
- Valid Class A CDL
- At least one year of Class A OTR or regional experience
- Steady work history and a clean driving record
